Damani Deerr, a 20 year old student of the University of Technology Jamaica, is a young aspiring disc jockey who goes by the name "Dj News". It is his aim to be as good as 'the great' Dj Wayne (of Irie fm) or even greater. He works hard toward this by making the best use of every opportunity that he is given or that he may find.

Dj News is currently enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering and Computing, pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computing and Information Technology. He takes his school work just as serious as he takes his music. He believes they are both equally important to his career path.

You can tune in to Dj News on Tuesdays from 9 - 11pm during his program “Heat Wave”, and also on Fridays from 12 - 2am during “Vybz Rush”. Tune in and be entertained each week.
